Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV chef and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is the host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine practices and the environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing opportunity for me. I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full period of time in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. While in Italy she grew to truly be aware of the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which made a lasting impression from a culinary point of view. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. She frequently travels around the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has often said that I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion for life with people.
